Will your customer trust you?

For a business to be successful you have to earn the trust of your customers. Without trust, they will not make a purchase in the first place, never mind become a loyal customer.

So how can you start to build the trust? First all, you have to be really honest in every part of your business, from the images you share to the transparency of how your product is made. Make sure there are no hidden costs or delays in the customer receiving the product.

Be authentic in your story telling – don’t pretend to be bigger than you are and tell the customer where you have challenges. It can be a bonus for a young brand over the more established labels that you can engage more authentically with your potential customers.

In todays connected world, social proofing and reviews are one of the best ways to build trust, as new consumers are looking for the review of previous customers to see that they were happy with their products. Make sure you have a place for customers to leave reviews and encourage them to post them.
