London Fashion Week Review – i-am-chen

i-am-chen continues to bring fun and light-hearted spirit to London Fashion Week. Working with world-class technicians, designer Chen pushes the limits of state of the art knitting techniques and experiments with diverse yarns in bold and eye-catching colours.

A designer whose origins lie in engineering, Chen is a creative outsider developing her own perspective rather than following the dictates of fashion norms. For the AW19 collection Unclassifiable, Chen has focused on classic elements such as grid, line and point. Chen’s fabrics are all knitted in one go into a single piece in explosive colours that result in very unique, distinctive pieces.

Chen was a finalist for the 2019 Woolmark Prize.
