Most of us find the terms and issues around carbon and net zero quite confusing. Science tells us that in order to limit the impacts of climate change, businesses must reach net zero emissions by 2050. In fact, after preparing this blog post a new report by the IPCC shows statistics which are even starker than we first thought. Open up any news source and you can be sure to come across terms such as carbon and net zero, yet the language can be confusing, with seemingly endless acronyms.

A new paper by Positive Luxury aims to demystify those terms with a view to helping business leaders understand the role they must play in addressing climate change. It unpacks the challenges in measuring a brand’s own emissions and what they can do to reduce or remove those emissions, in order to equip leaders with the knowledge you need to build a net-zero strategy.
